Civic Engagement

At Valley Voices, we were founded on a mission rooted in civic engagement.  We know that our communities in Kings County need to speak out and be counted in the decisions that impact their lives. Today, we continue that mission as we build community by engaging with our neighbors as voters and leaders.

VOTER EDUCATION & REGISTRATION

We host bilingual voter registration drives and educational workshops to help residents understand how voting works and why it matters. We break down complex ballot measures, promote local participation, and make voting accessible for first-time and returning voters alike.

CANDIDATE FORUMS & ISSUE DIALOGUES

We bring candidates, elected leaders and community members together for nonpartisan forums across Kings County. These events ensure that local voices—especially those from rural and immigrant communities—are part of the public conversation on housing, education, jobs, and healthcare.

COALITION BUILDING & ADVOCACY

As part of the Juntos por el Valle Coalition and statewide civic networks, we work alongside partners to expand voter access, protect immigrant rights, and build a more inclusive democracy where everyone counts.
